Distinguished by its large, ovate, long-petiolate leaflets. Mexico to Colombia. In Panama, known from tropical moist forest in the Canal Zone, Bocas del Toro, Panamá, and Darien, from premontane moist forest in Panama (Panama City), and from premontane wet forest in Chiriqui.
