Habitat: Murky bays to clear water reefs. Natural History Notes: These morays are night time foragers feeding on fish and crustaceans. Reside in burrows during the day commonly with heads protruding. Contantly utilizes buccul-opercular pump to respire during the day (constant opening and closing of mouth is not a threat). Depth: Usually shallower than 30 meters Characteristics: Surface uniformly colored green to brown. Can grow up to 250 cm in length (> 6 ft). Heavy set body (up to 29 kg) with no descriptive markings.
