Distribution: This species has been reported from Florida, the Bahamas and throughout the Caribbean. Depth: 2-12 m Characteristics: Dendostrea frons mesures between 4-6 cm. It has an oval shell shape with a pinkish-orange coloration. What what mostly calls our attention is the teeth-like shapes of the aperture margins, which resemble to a carnivore plant. The interior of the shell is pearl colored.
