Polyp: Colonies irregularly to pinnately branched. Hydrocaulus polysiphonic and straight proximally, with distal end monosiphonic and divided into recognizable internodes, often with a bulge just distal to node but otherwise smooth. Hydranths relatively large, with a conical hypostome and a whorl of 20-30 tentacles; basal web absent. Reproduction: Fixed gonophores. Ecology and Distribution: Distributed in Northern Gulf of Mexico, Bermuda, and the Caribbean coasts of Panama and Venezuela. In Bocas del Toro, known from the STRI weather station. Similar taxa: Campanulinidae.
