Habitat: This Thrush species can be found in humid forests and forest borders habitats, in foothills and lower highlands. Distribution: This species has been reported from northern Mexico to northwestern Ecuador. Natural History Notes: The White-throated Thrush is usually found in small groups in trees, where they gather to feed in fruiting trees. Its call consists of a short guttural or nasal sound like "enk" or "urrnk". Conservation status according to IUCN 2008 Red list: Least Concern (LC). Characteristics: This species has a total length of 23 cm (measured from tip of bill to end of tail). This bird has a yellow pointed bill and a yellow ring around the eye. The plumage is mostly dark olive brown to olive gray on the above. The throat is white but with stripes of gray and the white coloration extends below as a white patch on the upper part of the chest. This white patch contrasts with the brown underparts. Also, the lower part of the belly is white.
