Habitat: This species will pass by Panama during migration. You may find it in dry savanna, subtropical, lowland grassland, rivers, and heavily degraded forest habitats. Distribution: This species is migratory. It breeds in South America south to central Argentina. Those bird will then migrate north to northern South America, Panama and occasionally in Costa Rica. Natural History Notes: Conservation status according to IUCN 2008 Red list: Least Concern (LC). Characteristics: The total length of this species varies between 6.5 inches and 7.5 inches cm (measured from tip of bill to end of tail). This bird is characterized by the gray-brown plumage on the above with a white plumage below and a prominent gray-brown band across the chest. Also, we can distinguish a fine line of small brown dots right below the chest band.
