Habitat: This Flycatcher species will favor woodland borders and shrubby areas. Distribution: This species is migratory. It breeds in eastern North America and migrate south from Mexico to Panama. Natural History Notes: The Least Flycatcher is rarely observed in Panama. It is usually found alone. Conservation status according to IUCN 2008 Red list: Least Concern (LC). Characteristics: This species has a total length of 12 cm (measured from tip of bill to end of tail). This bird has a pointed short bill with a lower mandible yellowish. The plumage is olive gray on the above with a white ring around the eye. The wings and the tail are dark gray with two white wing-bars. The coloration below is mostly beige, with a yellower coloration on the breast and a paler yellow on the belly.
