Adult: Species description based on Bolanos and Wake (2009). A small-sized salamander (females to 37, males to 33 mm) with a rather short tail. Dorsal: The dorsal coloration is pale, with some scattered, darker brown pigmentation. Ventral: The ventral surface is also pale, except for a dark patch just in front of the hind limbs. Eye: The eyes are large and protrude from the head. Extremities: The hands and feet have minimal webbing compared to some other Bolitoglossines.
Habitat: Open, grassy areas above 3000 m. Type locality: Fábrega Massif (coordinates 9°07′00″ N, 82°52′40″ W) at 3100 m elevation, Provincia de Bocas del Toro, Panamá
