Bocas Species Database Habitat: Fine-grained sand. Water depth varying between 1 to 4 meters. Distribution: The species was reported in Bermuda and Carrie Bow Cay in Belize. In the region of Bocas del Toro, Panama, the species was found in Pond Sock Reef, Islas Zapatillas, Crawl Cay and Isla Colon. Characteristics: The mature specimens of this species measure around 800 µm long and 300 µm wide. The body shows a particular yellowish-gold coloration. The anterior end of the body is rounded, whereas the posterior end is more blunt. Its body shape and its distinctive coloration pattern make this species fairly easy to identify. |
