Depth: 10 - 23 m Characteristics: Maximum reported size: 12 mm. This species is highly variable in spire height and consequently in form. The shell is usually white, and at times two of the four largest ribs are white against a yellow or buff background. The interior is glossy and ocassionally olive-green. Two of the twelve major ribs are often enlarged and located on either side of the apical area. Concentric threads cross the ribs, giving a cancellate appearance. The soft parts of the animal are orange.
