Habitat: This Vireo species can be commonly observed in brushy clearings and forest borders in foothills and highlands. Distribution: This species is migratory. It breeds in northern North America and migrate south from southern Mexico to central Panama and sometimes to Colombia. Natural History Notes: Conservation status according to IUCN 2008 Red list: Least Concern (LC). Characteristics: This species has a total length of 12 cm (measured from tip of bill to end of tail). This bird has a dull olive plumage above, with a grayer coloration on the head and with the presence of a white stripe above the eye. The iris is black. The part below is pale yellow, brighter on the chest and paler on the belly. The immature bird has a more uniform yellow coloration on the part below.
