Habitat: This Foliage-gleaner will favor forests and forest borders habitats. This species can be found only in western highlands. Distribution: This species has been reported from Costa Rica and western Panama. Natural History Notes: The Buff-fronted foliage-gleaner is not well known in Panama. It usually forages in foliage high above the ground and along horizontal branches. Conservation status according to IUCN 2008 Red list: Least Concern (LC). Characteristics: This species has a total length of 19 cm (measured from tip of bill to end of tail). This bird is characterized by the presence of a cinnamon-buff forehead. We can also distinguish a gray crown on top of the head and a gray-brown hindneck and back. The cheeks and the superciliary are ochre colored. Then, the tail and the wings are all rufous and the underparts have an ochre coloration.
