Habitat: This catbird species is fairly common in open and semiopen areas. It will favor urban areas such as gardens and residential areas. Distribution: This species is migratory. It breeds in North America and migrate south from United States to central Panama and in the West Indies. Natural History Notes: This species is only found in the New World. The Gray Catbird forages on the ground, looking for insects and berries. This bird has a slim short black bill with a long black-brown tail. The plumage is mostly dark gray with a black cap on top pf the head and a prominent crissum (under the tail) chestnut colored. The iris is black.
