Natural History Notes: T. cosentini Philippi, 1836, is the correct name for the tropical amphiamerican columbellid often known as Mazatlania aciculata (Lamarck, 1822). Characteristics: Physical description: 14 to 25 mm long, terebriform, with two spiral rows of pronounced nodules. Aperture edge and columella not thickened or denticulate. Shell white or yellowish with spiral bands of purple and brown and often brown flammules.
